1. Agreement to terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and PostStage (“PostStage”, “we”, “us”), governing your access to and use of trypoststage.com and the PostStage application (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, do not use the Service.
PostStage is operated from India. The Service is offered globally with no general geographic restriction, and by using it you agree these Terms apply regardless of the country you access it from, subject to Section 3 (Export control & sanctions) and Section 18 (Governing Law).
2. Eligibility & account registration
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use PostStage.
- You must provide accurate, current information when registering and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- New accounts are subject to a manual review before full access is granted (you'll see this as “pending review” status); we may decline or delay approval at our discretion, including for anti-abuse reasons.
- You may not share an account between multiple unrelated individuals or businesses, or create multiple accounts to evade plan limits or trial restrictions.
- If you use PostStage on behalf of a company or client, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for them, and “you” includes that organisation.
- Teams. The account owner may invite team members and give them roles. The owner is responsible for everyone they invite, for what those members publish or approve, and for removing access when someone should no longer have it.
3. Export control & sanctions compliance
PostStage is available globally with no general geographic restriction. That said, you may not access or use the Service if you are located in, ordinarily resident in, or are a national of, any country or region subject to comprehensive trade sanctions under Indian law, United Nations Security Council sanctions, or applicable U.S./EU/UK export-control and sanctions regimes (including OFAC-administered sanctions programs), or if you are listed on any applicable government denied-party, debarred-party, or restricted-party list.
By using PostStage, you represent that you are not subject to any such restriction. We reserve the right to suspend or deny access where we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with applicable sanctions or export-control law.
4. The Service
PostStage lets you compose, schedule, and publish content to third-party social platforms you connect — currently Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, YouTube, Google Business Profile, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok, Bluesky, Tumblr, Mastodon, Telegram, Discord, WordPress, and Dev.to, connected via their official APIs or credential-based mechanisms (Bluesky via an App Password you generate yourself; Telegram via a Bot Token you create through @BotFather; Discord via a Webhook URL you create in your own server; Mastodon via your instance's OAuth; a self-hosted WordPress site via an Application Password you generate in your own wp-admin; Dev.to via an API key you create in your Dev.to settings; WordPress.com and all others via standard OAuth consent screens) — and provides supporting tools (content calendar, hashtag bank, templates, bulk scheduling, team approvals, an engagement inbox, basic analytics, and an optional AI Caption Generator).
PostStage also connects to Canva as a content source. This is not a publishing destination: nothing is ever posted to Canva. Connecting it lets you browse and import your own designs into the composer, and create a new design at the right size for the platform you're posting to. A Canva connection does not count towards your plan's channel limit.
WordPress comes in two forms and they are not the same arrangement. A WordPress.com blog is a third-party service operated by Automattic, connected by OAuth like any other platform here. A self-hosted WordPress site is a server you run: you give us its address and an Application Password, and we send your posts there. For that one destination there is no third-party platform between you and your content, and nothing we can be cut off from — but equally, its availability, its backups and its security are yours, and a post that fails because the site is down or a plugin blocks the WordPress REST API is not something we can retry our way out of.
5. Connecting third-party accounts
- You may only connect social accounts you own or are authorized to manage (e.g., a Page or Business Profile you administer).
- Connecting an account grants PostStage the specific API permissions shown on that platform's consent screen, used only to provide the features described in our Privacy Policy. (Bluesky, Telegram, Discord, and self-hosted WordPress have no consent screen — Bluesky grants access only to the App Password you chose to enter, revocable at any time on bsky.app; Telegram only to the Bot Token you created via @BotFather, which you control and can revoke or delete at any time in Telegram; Discord only to the Webhook URL you created for a single channel in your own server, which you control and can delete or regenerate at any time in Discord; and a self-hosted WordPress site only to the Application Password you generated in your own wp-admin, which you can revoke there at any time.)
- You remain solely responsible for the content you schedule and for complying with that platform's own terms of service, community guidelines, and advertising policies. PostStage is a publishing tool — it does not review or moderate your content before it is posted.
- You can disconnect any account at any time from the Accounts page, which immediately revokes the stored token on our side. You should also review/revoke app permissions directly on the platform if you want to fully sever access from their side.
6. Subscriptions, billing & taxes
- PostStage is offered on paid subscription plans (currently Starter, Pro, and custom Enterprise plans), priced in Indian Rupees (₹) plus any applicable taxes shown at checkout, for a billing cycle you select at checkout (monthly or annual).
- Payments are processed securely by Razorpay. You choose at checkout how you want to pay:
- Auto-renew. You approve a mandate with your bank, card or UPI app for a stated amount and frequency, and each cycle is charged automatically until you cancel. Your bank notifies you at least 24 hours before every payment, and you can cancel from Settings → Billing or from the e-mandate list in your bank or UPI app. Auto-renew is not available on charges above ₹15,000, where Indian banking rules require you to approve each payment individually.
- Pay once. A single payment covering one billing cycle, with nothing stored and nothing recurring. You renew each cycle yourself.
- Your renewal date is fixed and does not move. It is set by your first payment — pay on the 3rd and your plan is due on the 3rd of each cycle thereafter. If you pay late, the payment still covers the cycle that already began, and your next renewal date is unchanged. Where a month is too short to contain your renewal day, the last day of that month is used.
- Your plan stays active through the end of the day it is due (Indian Standard Time), shown in Settings → Billing. If you pay by auto-renew we do not send renewal reminders, because nothing is required of you; if you pay by hand we email you 7, 2 and 0 days beforehand.
- If payment is not received, publishing pauses. From the start of the day after your renewal date, access is suspended: scheduled posts are held rather than published, and the dashboard shows a payment screen. Nothing is deleted — your posts, drafts, media and connected accounts all remain, and held posts return to the queue as soon as payment is received. A post whose scheduled time passes while your account is paused will not be published later; you will be shown a list of any such posts so you can reschedule them.
- You then have 5 days to pay (we may extend this to up to 7 days on request). If a card or mandate payment fails, your bank and payment provider will normally retry it automatically within this window. If payment is still not received when the window closes, your subscription ends and your account moves to the Free plan’s limits — again with nothing deleted. Any posts still held remain held, and can be restored when you subscribe again, subject to the limits of the plan you choose.
- Eligible new users may start a one-time, 14-day free trial of the Pro plan with no card required. The trial is limited to one per account/user, lifetime; we may suspend or deny trial eligibility where we suspect abuse (e.g., duplicate signups).
- If you switch plans, your current subscription ends immediately and the new plan starts at its own price — unused time on the old plan is not credited or refunded (see Section 7).
- International cards/payment methods: if you pay with a non-Indian card, Razorpay and your card network convert the charge to INR at their prevailing exchange rate. Any currency-conversion fee or rate spread is set by your bank/card network, not by PostStage, and is not something we can refund.
- AI credits. Plans that include the AI Caption Generator come with a monthly credit allowance, which resets each calendar month and does not roll over. You can also buy top-up credits, which do not expire while your account exists. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and are lost if your account is deleted.
- A receipt is issued automatically after each successful payment, and stays available from your billing settings. If you need anything further for your records, contact info@trypoststage.com.
7. Refund policy
We want you to be confident before you pay — that's what the free, no-card 14-day Pro trial is for. Our refund policy reflects that:
- Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. Once a billing cycle is charged, we don't refund that period, including if you stop using the Service, downgrade, or switch plans partway through a cycle.
- Cancelling stops future payments; it is not a refund. If you pay by auto-renew, cancelling from Settings → Billing withdraws the mandate with your payment provider so no further payment is taken. If you pay by hand, cancelling simply confirms you will not be renewing. Either way you keep access through the period you have already paid for, with no partial-period or pro-rata refund for time you do not use. Note that a cancelled mandate cannot be reinstated — turning auto-renew back on means approving a new one, which we schedule to start on the date your current period ends so you are not charged twice.
- Duplicate or erroneous charges. If you were charged twice for the same billing cycle, or charged due to a verifiable technical error on our part, we will refund the duplicate/erroneous amount in full once verified.
- Service unavailability. If a confirmed bug or outage on our side materially prevented you from using the Service for a significant part of a billing cycle, contact us — we will review and may issue a partial refund or service credit at our discretion.
- How to request a refund. Email info@trypoststage.com with your account email and the Razorpay payment reference from your invoice. We review requests within 5 business days; approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Razorpay and typically reflect within 5–7 business days thereafter, depending on your bank/card network.
- AI top-up credits are non-refundable once any of them have been used. An unused top-up can be refunded if you ask within 14 days of buying it.
- Consumers in the EU, EEA and UK have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of their first paid purchase. Because you ask us to start the Service straight away, if you cancel in that window we refund what you paid minus a proportionate amount for the days already used. This right does not apply if you buy for business purposes.
- Enterprise plans are billed per the specific terms agreed in writing with that customer, which take precedence over this section where they conflict.
This policy is provided in addition to, and does not limit, any non-waivable rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law, including the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 in India.
8. Your content
- You retain all ownership rights to the content (text, images, video) you upload to or create in PostStage.
- You grant PostStage a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, process, and transmit your content solely to provide the Service — i.e., to display it in your dashboard and to publish it to the platforms and accounts you direct.
- You represent that you own or have the necessary rights and permissions to the content you upload, and that publishing it through PostStage won't infringe any third party's rights or violate any law or platform policy.
- We may remove content or suspend access if we reasonably believe it violates these Terms, the law, or puts our platform access at risk (e.g., content that would cause a connected platform to revoke our API access).
- Where the law allows, we will tell you when we remove your content or restrict your account and why, and you can ask us to review the decision by writing to info@trypoststage.com.
- We act on valid orders from Indian courts and government agencies, and on complaints received under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, within the time limits they set.
8A. AI features
- The AI Caption Generator and caption-fitting tools are optional. They send the text you submit to our AI provider, Anthropic, as described in our Privacy Policy. Your inputs and outputs are not used to train AI models.
- As between you and us, you own your inputs and the captions generated for you, to the extent the law allows. Similar or identical output may be generated for other users.
- AI output can be inaccurate, biased, offensive or infringe someone else's rights. You must review and edit it before publishing, and you are responsible for anything you publish, exactly as if you had written it yourself.
- Do not use the AI features to create content that sexualises minors, is sexually explicit, promotes violence, terrorism or self-harm, harasses or discriminates, impersonates a real person, spreads election or health misinformation, or breaks the law. Anthropic's usage policies also apply.
- Some platforms require you to label AI-generated or synthetic content. Following those labelling rules is your responsibility.
8B. Trials, beta features & feedback
- Free trials and features we label “beta”, “preview” or “early access” are provided as they are, without any warranty or support commitment, and we may change or end them at any time.
- If you send us ideas, suggestions or feedback, including through the ideas board or feedback widget, you let us use them freely, without payment or credit to you. You are never obliged to send feedback.
9. PostStage's intellectual property
Other than the content you upload, all rights in the Service — including the PostStage name and logo, the underlying software, design, and other materials we create — belong to PostStage or our licensors, and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your own business purposes for as long as your subscription is active. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, create derivative works from, sublicense, or use our trademarks or branding without our prior written permission.
Third-party names. Names, logos and trademarks of social platforms, competitors and other companies shown on PostStage, including on our comparison pages, belong to their owners. We use them only to identify those products or to compare them fairly with ours. This does not mean those companies endorse, sponsor or are affiliated with PostStage. Comparisons reflect publicly available information as of the date shown on each page; if you believe one is inaccurate, write to info@trypoststage.com and we will review it promptly.
10. Copyright & trademark infringement notices
If you believe content scheduled or hosted through PostStage by one of our users infringes your copyright or trademark, send a written notice to info@trypoststage.com including:
- Identification of the copyrighted work or trademark you claim is being infringed.
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing, and where it appears within PostStage.
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the disputed use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf.
We will review valid notices and may remove or disable access to the relevant content and/or suspend the responsible account. Note that once content has been published to a third-party platform (e.g., Instagram, YouTube, X), PostStage no longer controls it there — you'll also need to report it directly to that platform under its own copyright/trademark process.
11. Acceptable use
You agree not to use PostStage to:
- Post unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or fraudulent content.
- Spam, post deceptively (e.g., engagement bait prohibited by a platform's policy), or artificially inflate engagement.
- Infringe intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights of others.
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, security measures, or access controls of PostStage or any connected platform.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service without our written permission.
- Use the Service in a way that violates the terms of any connected platform (Meta, Google, X, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Tumblr, Mastodon, Telegram, Discord, WordPress.com, or Dev.to).
- Post content that sexualises or exploits minors, promotes terrorism or violence, or is otherwise prohibited under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it.
- Upload malware, or content that collects other people's personal data without a lawful basis.
- Process sensitive personal data (such as health, biometric or financial account data) or children's data through PostStage without the consent the law requires.
12. Suspension & termination
- We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms, suspected fraud/abuse, non-payment, or at a connected platform's request regarding misuse of their API.
- You may cancel your subscription and/or delete your account at any time — see our Data Deletion Instructions.
- Your data after a subscription ends. If your paid plan ends, your account moves to the Free plan and your data stays available within its limits. If you delete your account, or we terminate it, we delete your data within 30 days as described in the Privacy Policy, except records we must keep by law. Download anything you want to keep before deleting. PostStage is not a backup service.
- Unless the suspension is for a security threat, illegal activity or a platform's demand, we will normally warn you before suspending your account and give you a chance to fix the problem.
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law) will survive.
13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we are not responsible for outages, API changes, or policy changes made by third-party platforms (Meta, Google, X, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Tumblr, Mastodon, Telegram, Discord, Automattic/WordPress.com, Dev.to) that affect publishing through PostStage. We do not guarantee that any post will reach a particular audience, engagement level or result.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PostStage and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or ₹5,000. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold PostStage harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or any applicable law or third-party platform policy.
16. General provisions
Force majeure
We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including outages, API or policy changes at a connected platform (Meta, Google, X, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Tumblr, Mastodon, Telegram, Discord, Automattic/WordPress.com), internet or hosting-infrastructure failures, natural disasters, or government action.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect, and the unenforceable provision will be read down to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of our assets, with notice to you.
Entire agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Data Deletion Instructions (and any Data Processing Addendum or order form you sign with us), constitute the entire agreement between you and PostStage regarding the Service, and supersede any prior agreements on the same subject.
Notices
We may give you notice via the email address on your account or an in-app notice. You may send us legal notices at info@trypoststage.com.
17. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the revised version here with a new effective date, and for material changes we'll notify you by email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes take effect no sooner than 14 days after we notify you, unless the law or a platform requires faster action. If a change materially reduces your rights and you do not accept it, you may cancel before it takes effect and we will refund the unused part of any prepaid annual plan. We may also modify or discontinue features of the Service with reasonable notice where practicable.
18. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to applicable consumer-protection rights, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Delhi, India. If you are a consumer living in another country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of that country and may bring a claim in your local courts. Consumers in India may also approach the consumer commissions under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. We encourage you to first contact us at info@trypoststage.com so we can try to resolve the issue directly.
